Bonucci’s Chance to Join Juventus Is Closed

The issue of Leonardo Bonucci’s return to Juventus was trending past weeks. Bonucci is no longer comfortable staying in AC Milan.

In fact, Leonardo Bonucci just left Juventus during the summer of 2017. Moreover, he became the new captain of AC Milan upon the arrival.

However, the problem within AC Milan made Leonardo Bonucci considers to move. Juventus is his target because he doesn’t want to leave Italy.

Recently, there was a rumor that Juventus will exchange Gonzalo Higuain with Leonardo Bonucci. But, AC Milan asked two Juventus young defenders, either Mattia Caldara or Daniele Rugani.

The situation made Juventus stop the hunt of Leonardo Bonucci. Marotta closed the probability to recruit the 31-year-old defender.

“It all started because we cordially met with Leonardo (Milan’s general manager) and studied some things. He told us what Bonucci was thinking, and he spoke well of his years at Juventus,” Marotta explained to Sky Sport Italia.

“Right now we have a full squad, especially in defense. The relationship with Bonucci is based on mutual respect, but for now, I wouldn’t go any further,” Marotta added.

Leonardo Bonucci played for Juventus in 2010 until 2017. During that period, Bonucci won some titles like Scudetto, Coppa Italia, and Italy Super Cup.
