Brasil Coach Appointed As the New Coach of Thailand National Team

DBasia.news – Former Chiangrai United coach, Alexandre Gama, is officially appointed by Football Association of Thailand (FAT) as the new coach for U23 Thailand national team. Previously, Gama and Chiangrai were collaborating against the Indonesian team, Bali United.

Chiangrai United Vs Bali United happened in the initial qualification of the second round of Asian Champions League. At Singha Stadium, Chiangrai, he brought the team defeating Bali United 2-1 by an intense match.

Chiangrai United qualified to the play-off round before defeated by Shanghai SIPG. Meanwhile, Bali United stopped and played in the second competition of AFC, 2018 AFC Cup.

Alexandre Gama was appointed after the previous coach Worrawoot Srimaka failed to bring U23 Thailand national team to score the achievement, including the 2018 Asian Games. Thailand got eliminated after finishing the group phase.

Recently, Alexandre Gama was rumored will handle U23 Thailand national team. Especially, after he resigned after bringing Chiangrai United to win the treble winner in Thailand, 2018.

“I’m delighted and this is an honor,” Alexandre Gama said.

Next, the former coach of Fluminense and South Korea national team coach assistant will lead the team in the China Football Federation competition called U21 CFA International Football Tournament 2018, on 12th to 20th November.

He also appointed to prepare the team for the pre-Olympic 2020. Besides, he is preparing for 2019 U22 AFF Cup and 2019 SEA Games.
