Brasilian Winger Just A Step Away from Milan

By news-admin

DBasia.news – AC Milan has got three new players in the 2018 summer transfer market, Ivan Strinic, Pepe Reina, and Alen Halilovic. Three of them were recruited free of charge due to the end of the current contract with the former club.

Rossoneri recruited three of them when the internal situation was intense amid the change of ownership from Chinese consortium to Elliott Management. Now, the situation is more conducive and Milan assigned their former player Leonard as the sporting director.

Milan are also actively involved in the transfer market. Recently, they got Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara from Juventus. Not only that, Milan are also trying to get the wing striker from Brasil, Bernard.

Reported by Calciomercato, Milan’s representative had a meeting with Bernard representation in London to discuss the personal agreement. The negotiation should be easy considering Bernard status as the free agent.

The 25-year-old striker contract wasn’t extended by Shakhtar Donetsk. Bernard played in Ukraine for five years with 14 caps and one goal for Brasil national team.

Bernard has been the target of Milan since the era of Li Yonghong. With free club status, Milan used it to bring Bernard to San Siro.

Besides relatively young, the Atletico Mineiro academy alumnus could play as the striker in either left or right wing and also attacking midfielder. Just like the other Brasilian player, Bernard can handle the ball to pass the opponents.
