DBasia.news – Brazilian football legend, Juninho revealed an interesting fact about the players who came from his hometown. Juniho assessed that Brazilian footballers have been taught to be money oriented.
Talking about this, the Olympique Lyonnais legend made PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) star, Neymar as an example. Juninho said Neymar moved from Barcelona to PSG in 2017 because he was looking for more money.
“In Brazil we are taught to only care about money but in Europe they have a different mentality. Unknowingly I made a career plan because I wanted to go to other big clubs in Brazil, and not just play for sports alone,” Juninho told the Guardian.
“I was taught to head to a club that gives me more money. That’s the Brazilian way,” continued the Lyon Sport Director.
“Look at Neymar. He moved to PSG only because of money. PSG gave everything to him, everything he wanted, and now he wants to leave before the end of his contract.”
According to Juninho, at this time Neymar had to return the favor for everything that PSG has provided with performance on the pitch, contributing greatly in presenting the trophy.
“But now is the time (for Neymar) to give back, to show gratitude,” Juninho added.
“Neymar needs to give everything he can on the field, to show dedication, responsibility and total leadership.”
“The problem is that establishments in Brazil have a culture of greed and always wanting more money. This is what we were taught and what we learned,” explained the 45-year old man.
The background of most Brazilian footballers is often adorned with stories of difficult times in family life and childhood. No doubt what was said by Juninho was allegedly based on these facts.
