Breaking into Napoli’s Goal, Erling Haaland Breaks the Juventus Legend Record

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Having showed an impressive appearance, Erling Haaland managed to break the record of Juventus legend, Alessandro Del Piero. In Mathcday IV Champions League, Wednesday (11/6), the young Red Bull Salzburg striker successfully scored in Napoli’s goal.

The goals on Matchday IV has made Erling Haaland keep breaking down opponents in their first four matches in the Champions League. Previously, he posted a hat-trick against KRC Genk, one goal against Liverpool, and two goals against Napoli.

The note was phenomenal as the Norwegian striker is only 19 years old. He is younger than Alessandro Del Piero who also posted the same thing in the 1995-96 season. At that time, Del Piero scored endless goals for Juventus against Borussia Dortmund, Steaua Bucuresti, and twice against Rangers FC. Del Piero was only 20 years old at the time.

Erling Haaland also had a better record than Alessandro Del Piero. In his first four matches in the Champions League, he was able to cram seven goals. Meanwhile, the player nicknamed Il Pinturicchio was only able to collect four goals, aka one goal per match.

In the history of the Champions League, there were two other players who were able to score in the first four matches. They are Ze Carlos and Diego Costa. Ze Carlos did it with FC Porto in 1992-93, while Costa in 2013-14 with Atletico Madrid. However, they were more than 20 years old.

Although able to set a new record, Erling Haaland still faces other challenges. On Matchday V, he needed to score again to match Alessandro Del Piero and Diego Costa’s slick notes. Until now, only the two of them were able to score in the first five matches in progress in the Champions League.
