Brendan Rodgers: Chelsea Is a Big Challenge for Leicester City

DBasia.news – Leicester City head coach, Brendan Rodgers, admits that facing Chelsea will be a tough challenge for his team on Saturday (20/11).

Chelsea will visit the King Power Stadium this weekend with the aim of extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Thomas Tuchel’s men currently sit at the top of the table with a three-point advantage over Manchester City and West Ham United, who are second and third respectively.

And speaking ahead of Leicester city’s meeting with the Champions League champions, Brendan Rodgers did not deny that it will be a tough test for his team who are in poor form.

They are languishing in 12th position in the current Premier League standings with only a total of 15 points from 11 matches that have been played throughout the 2021-22 season rolling.

“This is a big challenge because they are a fantastic team. Tuchel keeps them organized and working well,” said Rodgers as quoted by SportsIllustrated.

“They have an extraordinary manager and an extraordinary squad of players, who have the confidence to win big titles. They can bring players in and it doesn’t make a difference. The level is very high tactically and technically.”

However, Rodgers stressed that Leicester City are always ready to face the challenge.

Rodgers continued, “When you play against a big team you have to be at the top of your game, you have to be relentless in your work, and you also need a bit of luck. We will be ready for that.”
