Bruno Fernandes: Manchester United isn’t just me and Pogba
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Bruno Fernandes said he was uncomfortable with the news related to his duet with Paul Pogba. The Portuguese midfielder believes that Manchester United is not just about two players.
Since the Premier League resumption during the pandemic, Manchester United fans are already waiting for Pogba and Fernandes to duet on the pitch. Both are considered to be the main focus of the Red Devils to win.
That finally came true. Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is slowly starting to make the Pogba and fernandes duo a mainstay in midfield.
The results did not disappoint. Pogba and Fernandes left Manchester United unbeaten in four matches marked by assists and goals.
The duo of the two creative players are increasingly seen to be more cohesive when Manchester United defeated Brighton & Hove Albion with a score of 3-0, Wednesday (1/7) AM. Evidence was presented in the second goal process in which Pogba gave Fernandes a pass to score.
But Fernandes felt the spotlight on his duet with Pogba has began to be exagerated. Though the positive results achieved by Manchester United are also thanks to the contribution of other players.
“I do not want to talk much about me and Paul Pogba. We are thrilled to play together, but I felt glad to be able to play with all my teammates,” Fernandes said as reported by Sky Sports.
“We can indeed duet well and have that quality. However, we also know that other colleagues can do the same thing.”
Manchester United does have another quality midfielder. Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, and Fred names can also be counted on when Pogba was injured and had been missing since December last year.
Fernandes does not seem to want the spotlight to be on him and Pogba to disrupt Manchestser United’s focus for the rest of the season. Manchester City rivals still has a duty to penetrate the top four, and win the FA Cup and Europa League.
