Camavinga Quickly Joined Real Madrid

DBasia.news – Eduardo Camavinga has become a Real Madrid player. He didn’t expect the transfer process to be so fast. The certainty of Camavinga’s move was announced by Madrid on its official website, Tuesday (31/08) evening WIB, or about 6-7 hours before the close of the summer transfer market.

Camavinga (18 years) was recruited for 40 million euros from Stade Rennes and contracted for six years. Judging by the fact that he became a hot commodity in the summer market and was targeted by many clubs, Madrid secured an important asset.

Camavinga became Madrid’s second signing after they brought in David Alaba from Bayern Munich. Unlike Camavinga, Alaba was recruited for free after his contract ended at Bayern Munich.

Los Blancos completed the transfer quickly, because even though they had been linked previously, Madrid’s priority was allegedly only to recruit Mbappe. Camavinga also explained how quickly the transfer happened.

“My signing for Real Madrid happened so fast,” Camavinga said. “I’m very happy and proud, but I don’t want this announcement to change my work for the Under-21 team.”

“I will continue to give my best and of course I dream of playing for the French national team, but I want to take it one step at a time. Now I will go to Rennes to prepare for a move to Madrid.”

“I dreamed of it since I was a kid. I wanted to find a stadium, it must be impressive. I hope to take my first steps there as soon as the work and construction (Santiago Bernabeu) is complete.”

Coming from the Rennes academy and promoted to the first team in 2019, Camavinga’s action wowed the scouts of Europe’s top clubs. PSG, Madrid, and Manchester United are some of the clubs that are targeting him.

In the 2019-20 season Camavinga became a regular at Rennes and has now made a total of 88 appearances across all competitions. With that record plus three caps and one goal with the French national team, Camavinga became a special talent at the age of 18.
