Cambiasso Believes Inter Will Grow After the Barcelona Defeat

DBasia.news – Inter Milan’s path in all competitions stopped in the third match of Group B Champions League. Nerazzurri got 0-2 defeat at Camp Nou, Barcelona home.

The situation doesn’t change Inter’s position as the runner-up of Group B with 6 points. It’s under Barca with 9 points, above Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven who also gained one point.

Inter failed to repeat 2010 historical moment when they defeated Barcelona to gain the Treble Winners. Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is one of the living witnesses of that historical moment.

Cambiasso also watches the team’s performance so far. Inter’s defeat against Barca would improve Inter’s situation in the upcoming matches.

“When Barcelona plays well it is difficult to deal with them. I think the difficulties along the way can help Inter, at least that was the case when I played,” Cambiasso said.

“If you get out of the group stage without having faced difficulty it is not easy to face difficult moments later on,” said the 38-year-old man.

Cambiasso also believes Inter have a great chance to qualify for the upcoming phase. “I see the glass as half full or almost full. At the halfway point of the group stage, the numbers point toward a possible qualification to the next round.”
