Carlo Ancelotti Becomes a Battle for Arsenal and Everton

DBasia.news –  Newly fired by Napoli, Carlo Ancelotti became a favorite candidate of one of the English League clubs, Everton, to replace Marco Silva as manager.

Ancelotti, 60, is not coaching the club after being sacked by Napoli and replaced by Gennaro Gattuso. Everton is also looking for a new manager after firing Marco Silva and appointing Duncan Ferguson as interim manager.

Not only Everton, but Arsenal are also looking for a permanent manager to replace Unai Emery (the club is currently handled by Freddie Ljungberg, interim manager). Insistence from club legends, such as Ashley Cole, advised the Gunners to immediately secure Ancelotti’s service.

Naturally, if they want to see Ancelotti coach Arsenal. Despite having been fired twice at Bayern Munich and Napoli, Ancelotti is still one of Europe’s top coaches who has coached AC Milan, Real Madrid, and Chelsea.

Ancelotti also won three Champions League titles and four league titles in his coaching career. However, the hopes of Arsenal fans and legends to see Ancelotti at the Emirates Stadium began to fade because they reportedly agreed to coach Everton.

Ancelotti was allegedly agreed to train Everton after the 2019-20 season ended, because now he wants to take a break with his family in Vancouver, Canada, before starting to train again. For the time being, Everton will continue to be handled by Ferguson.

Everton also prepared other alternatives if they could not secure Ancelotti’s services. They are like Ralf Rangnick, David Moyes, Roger Schmidt.

In the near future, Everton will play the 2019-20 League Cup quarter-finals against Leicester City at Goodison Park on Thursday (12/19) at 2:45 a.m. WIB.

“Duncan Ferguson will remain Everton’s interim manager for Wednesday night’s (local time) quarter-final match against Leicester, the club can confirm it,” said Everton’s official statement.
