Carlo Ancelotti Reportedly Embezzling Taxes in Spain

DBasia.news – Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is said to being stumbled over a tax evasion case. Reporting from Reuters, tax evasion carried out by the 61-year-old manager occurred in Spain.

Prosecutors in Madrid said on Monday (22/6) that they had suspected the Italian manager embezzled tax of 1 million euros from his image rights while still training Real Madrid between 2014 and 2015.

Ancelotti himself still hasn’t commented on the case. The Madrid Community Prosecutors’ Office said in a statement that Ancelotti did not report his income with “intentions to avoid taxes.”

In addition to having coached Real Madrid and Everton, Ancelotti has also coached other European giants such as AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris St Germain, and Bayern Munich. Ancelotti has won the Champions League three times as a coach, twice with AC Milan and once with Real Madrid.

A number of football figures are also tangled in tax cases in Spain including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, coach Jose Mourinho, and most recently Diego Costa.
