Carlo Ancelotti’s Son Becomes the Youngest Assistant Manager in the Premier League

DBasia.news – JLooking at the Everton manager’s list, there are two names of Ancelotti. The first is of course the manager Carlo Ancelotti, while the second name is Davide Ancelotti.

From the same last name, Davide certainly has a relationship with Carlo, because he is the biological son of the manager. Davide is the right hand alias Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant.

Davide does have aspirations to follow in his father’s footsteps in the world of coaching. Even so Davide chose a different path from his father. Davide did not go through the stage of becoming a player, but immediately jumped into the world of coaching.

Davide is currently the youngest assistant manager in the Premier League. He and Everton legend Duncan Ferguson accompanied Carlo Ancelotti.

“Father’s work has given happiness to the family. I want to do this since childhood. Really wanted to be a soccer player, but I don’t have the talent,” Davide said as reported by the Daily Mail.

“I grew up in the dressing room and had the opportunity to meet idol players. So I decided to learn. I want to be a manager.”

At the age of 30, Davide continued to hone his skills. After graduating college majoring in Sport Science at the age of 22, Davide continued to take part in training until getting a training license.

Currently Davide claimed to be taking as much knowledge from his father. With very high intentions, great mentors, and wide access, Davide has all the conditions to be a topnotch coach in the future.

“I graduated from college in Italy. Then I became a physical coach at the Paris Saint-Germain academy for a year. I got my first license while at Bayern Munich,” said Davide.

Davide did not deny, that he was fortunate to be Carlo Ancelotti’s son. Meeting and getting close to great players, as well as getting to know the atmosphere of the dressing room, is assets to him.

One of the experiences that he said most memorable was when his father became an AC Milan manager.

“When I was 12 to 18 years old, I grew up in the midst of great players. There were a lot of great players, there was Paolo Maldini, a great captain,” Davide recalled.

Having a father the coach at a big club makes Davide free to watch what happens. He understood how his father managed to bring Milan twice to win Champions League in 2003 and 2007.

Not only that, Davide has also felt the atmosphere at top clubs in various major European leagues, from Chelsea, PSG, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, to Napoli.

One thing that certainly does not belong to other trainers, namely the opportunity to discuss with a big coach without feeling awkward. In this case, Davide called his father often annoying because he always asked difficult questions.

“We always discuss every day. An assistant manager is there to present doubts to the manager. I have the advantage because the relationship with my father is very close. I can say anything. I can say I don’t agree with the plan,” Davide said.

Davide is predicted to become a great manager someday. Not because he was Don Carlo’s son, but his desire to always learn.

“I have a great experience, but there is always time to develop myself.”
