DBasia.news – Manchester United tactician, Michael Carrick, assesses the position of manager of the Red Devils is very special. According to reports, the role will be filled by Ralf Rangnick.
Manchester United are getting closer to securing Ralf Rangnick as interim manager. Rangnick will reportedly be the coach until the end of this season. After that, the man from Germany will act as a consultant.
Ahead of Rangnick’s arrival, Carrick insisted that being a Manchester United manager was not easy. The responsibility as coach of Cristiano Ronaldo and his friends is very big.
“This is a big job. For me, it is a big job in football,” explained Carrick as reported by the Mirror.
“That’s just my opinion. However, this is a big job and Manchester United is one of the best clubs in the world,” added the coach.
“It’s a very special place. I’ve been here for 15 years and it means a lot to me. I think anyone who walks in will appreciate it when they step through the door.”
“The first thing that strikes you is the privilege and responsibility that comes with being in a position to work for this club, in any role,” said Carrick.
Michael Carrick will still lead Manchester United when they meet Chelsea in the 2021-2022 Premier League match, at Stamford Bridge Stadium, Sunday (28/11). The Red Devils have not conceded a goal in the last four meetings against Chelsea in the Premier League.
