DBasia.news –  Former Italian national team player Antonio Cassano gave some information related to other motives behind Juventus salary cutting in the midst of the Corona virus outbreak. According to him Il Bianconeri already has information that the 2019-20 Serie A has ended.

Juventus recently has made a statement of reaching an agreement with the squad and senior players such as Giorgio Chiellini, Gianluigi Buffon and Cristiano Ronaldo, to cut player salaries in the midst of the corona virus outbreak.

“Reaching an agreement with the players and first team coaches regarding compensation for the residual portion this season,” said a statement from Juventus.

“The agreement provides for a reduction in compensation for the same amount in March, April, May and June 2020. In the next few weeks, private agreements with players and coaches will be finalized. Because, at this time requires regulations.”

Covid-19 delayed the top European leagues (including Serie A) without guarantee of when the spread of the virus ended. Italy is one of the worst countries in the world with a positive number of corona viruses and fatalities.

The impact of the Italian football clubs also having difficulty paying players’ salaries because there is no income from ticket sales, merchandise, and television broadcasting rights. Cutting player salaries is one solution to tighten the club’s budget.

Juventus have done this and were appreciated by FIGC President Gabriele Gravina. But Cassano sees things differently. The former AS Roma and Real Madrid rated rated that Juve has got the info that 2019-20 Serie A information had ended.

“If Juventus cut salary because the season will almost certainly not continue. That means that they already know it, otherwise they will not do it,” Cassano told Corriere dello Sport.

“That can be done from month to month. It can also be done at the end of June. In Serie A, it’s right to make cuts.”

“In Serie B and in Series C they have to find a solution to not take money from the players, there are people who earn three, four or five thousand euros. They have mortgages at home and buy cars in installments,” explained Cassano.

Cassano also agreed with Gravina regarding 2019-20 Serie A which should be continued until the last week. Plus a playoff system to determine the Scudetto winners this season.

“I agree with Gravina, but if you can continue training on May 3, it will take at least one month to prepare and this means arriving in August and it will be a massacre (short time) for next season,” added Cassano.

“Personally, I will make a playoff to determine the champion,” he concluded.
