Causing Car Accident, Former Italy National Team Player Pleaded Guilty

DBasia.news – The former Italy national team player, Stefano Fiore, was pleaded guilty for the car accident at Via Flaminia, Roma, April 16, 2017. He was accused to be the trigger of the crash causing one death.

The incident involved five different vehicles. Consequently, 12 people got injured and a 22-year-old man died.

The jury decided Fiore was guilty of speeding and not maintaining a safe distance with the front car. The fact was revealed after a long investigation process.

Based on Italian newspaper Leggo, Fiore got sentenced 1 year and 11 months. However, the former Italy national team midfielder with his lawyer worked out a plea bargain.

Fiore supported some European elite clubs during his career as a professional football player. He wore the jersey of Parma, Udinese, Lazio, Fiorentina, Torino, and Valencia.

In the international level, Fiore recorded 38 caps since the debut with Azzurri in February 2000 when they won 1-0 against Sweden in the friendly match. He contributed two goals.
