By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Arsenal has reportedly still reached an agreement with Southampton to borrow Cedric Soares despite being injured. Cedric Soares will be with Arsenal on loan until the end of the 2019-20 season.

January can be said to be the toughest period for Arsenal. The Gunners has had injury problems in defense. Because of that Arsenal have brought in Pablo Mari from Flamengo on loan and this time Cedric Soares.

Launching from Sky Sports, Cedric Soares’s contract will expire next summer and Southampton is willing to let him go this month. The agreement between Arsenal and Southampton has reached a final agreement.

From the deal, Arsenal has borrowed Soares until the end of the season after paying £ 5 million to Southampton. Arsenal will also bear Soares’ full salary during the loan period. The agreement also stated that Arsenal had the option to permanently secure Soares when his contract expired.

Currently Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, is only relying on Hector Bellerin who had just recovered from injury. The purpose of Soares’ arrival is expected to strengthen Arsenal’s right-back sector. Interestingly, at this time Soares is still suffering from injuries which forced him to be pull over for around three weeks.
