DBasia.news – Alvaro Morata moved from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid on loan in the 2018/19 season. That happened because he didn’t even find the best performance in England. Morata was loaned for two seasons.
Having comfort with the conditions in his home country, Morata has expressed his desire to stay with the Los Rojiblancos and refused to return to Stamford Bridge. But the transfer ban sanctions given by FIFA to Chelsea can change this situation.
Football Espana reported that at this time Atletico was worried about the plans to be made by the Blues regarding Morata. The player who plays as the attacker does still have a one-season contract as a loan player, but Chelsea have the right to cut the duration to immediately return it to Stamford Bridge.
If Chelsea do that, Atletico will have to pay 55 million euros. At present Diego Simeone’s team does not have adequate costs, especially after bringing Joao Felix from Benfica for a transfer of 120 million euros.
Atletico hope that they can still retain Morata as a loan player in the following season before then permanently bringing him in 2020.
