Chelsea has to Compete with Inter Milan to Bring in Francesco Acerbi

DBasia.news –  Chelsea are rumored to want to bring in Lazio defender, Francesco Acerbi, in the transfer market next season. However, the Blues’ desire to bring in the 32-year-old player had to compete with Inter Milan who also wants to bring in thes players.

According to FCInterNews.it, the performance of the Italian national team player was impressive enough to be observed by Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard.

But Chelsea must compete against Inter to obtain Acerbi’s signature.

Acerbi still has three years left in his contract deal with Lazio. But because he had just changed his agent, rumors regarding his move has gotten stronger.

Acerbi’s agent is currently Federico Pastorello, the same agent as Inter striker, Romelu Lukaku. The agent also commented on the rumors of his client’s transfer.

“I have read rumors about Chelsea and Inter, but I don’t know much about that. But as far as I know, Francesco (Acerbi) is a defender who can play in any club in Europe. ” said Pastorello to FCInterNews.it

Lampard is reportedly eager to strengthen the Chelsea defense and has been rumored with various players, one of which is Acerbi. Even though he is 32 years old, he is considered to be able to have a positive impact for the next few seasons for the Blues.

Francesco Acerbi has made 24 appearances and scored 2 goals for Lazio. He brought Lazio to currently sit in second place in the Serie A standings and is only one point away from Juventus.
