DBasia.news – Chelsea manager Frank Lampard emphasized that Chelsea still cannot find a player to replace Eden Hazard’s position. The statement raises questions because the Blues have spent nearly 220 million pounds in the transfer market.

Since Hazard left for Real Madrid in 2019, Chelsea has recruited a number of talents such as Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

Hazard is seen as a mainstay of the Blues and scored 110 goals while providing 92 assists during his seven years at Stamford Bridge. Lampard believes that, despite all the funds that have been spent, Hazard’s quality is difficult to replace by one player.

“I think it is very difficult to replace a player with Eden Hazard’s quality,” said Lampard as quoted by Goal.

“The impact on the club is huge and I talked a lot about Harry Kane today and the impact is similar in terms of goals and assists. To lose a player like that. You have to try and find a way out.”

“With last year’s transfer ban, it was more about younger players coming in and being an efficient team to at least stay where we are and look further ahead in terms of improvement. I think we are making good strides,” added Lampard.

Realizing that it is difficult to replace Hazard’s role, Lampard did not want to burden his new players. “With the new players we have now, I hate giving them jobs or the idea that they should replace Hazard.”

“They have to focus on themselves and without a doubt, they have brought talent to the squad,” explained Lampard.
