DBasia.news – Chelsea officially loaned Michy Batshuayi to Crystal Palace. Batshuayi joined on a season-long loan after signing a new contract with Chelsea.
The Belgian player returned to Selhurst Park after being successful with the Eagles in the second half of the 2018/2019 season. At that time, Batshuayi scored six goals in 13 appearances and helped Palace survive relegation.
“My target is to win a lot of matches with the team because Crystal Palace are a good and dangerous team for big clubs,” said Batshuayi.
He emphasized that he wanted to make Palace even better. Batshuayi promised to score lots of goals for Palace.
“I want to win and score goals, do my job to help the team. I know my team-mates will help me too,” he stated.
Batshuayi hopes to play regularly for Crystal Palace. With his contribution to the club, Batshuayi hopes to be called up to the Belgian national team for the Euro 2020 championships which is postponed next year.
Crystal Palace director, Steve Parish expressed his joy to bringing back Batshuayi. His presence is expected to be a solution to Roy Hodgson’s lack of sharpness in the front lines.
“He is a player I have admired for a while. He has become a very popular figure in his last period with us,” he said.
Parish Oprimis is able to compete with other top clubs. He was sure he was not wrong with his choice to use Batshuayi’s services.
“It is great for Michy to choose to return to the squad to help us move up the rankings and strengthen his place in the Belgian squad for the Euro,” he concluded.
