Chelsea Pre-season Preparations Are Threatened with Failure Due To Covid-19

DBasia.news – A number of Chelsea players will not take part in pre-season training as test results show they have contracted COVID-19. In addition, the eight star players must undergo isolation after returning home on vacation.

As reported by Reuters, four players, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham, and Fikayo Tomori had to be isolated after a vacation in Mykonos, Greece. From the photo of Tammy Abraham’s Instagram account, he, Pulisic, and Tomori are seen taking pictures together while sunbathing without wearing masks or keeping their distance.

The other four players who also have to undergo quarantine are Jorginho, Ross Barkley, Emerson, and Michy Batshuayi. It is certain that the four of them will also not participate in the pre-season.

Players who are tested positive must go into self-isolation for 10 days and return to the test until they test negative before they can train again.

Sheffield United, Brighton & Hove Albion, and West Ham United are among the other Premier League clubs whose players have tested positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks.

Frank Lampard’s team, who finished fourth last season, will start this season’s Premier League on September 14th.
