Chelsea Sends Makalele to Bring in Cavani from PSG
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Chelsea needs a new striker on the front lines to accompany Tammy Abraham. The striker who is considered able to meet the criteria is Edinson Cavani, PSG bomber.
As is known, Chelsea are experiencing a player crisis after they were unable to make transfers last summer. While Edinson Cavani lost his main season this season after PSG brought in Mauro Icardi.
This situation actually benefited the Blues. As the bomber reportedly wanted to immediately leave to achieve status as a major player. But his efforts seemed to have been banned by Paris Saint-Germain.
Evidently Chelsea’s first offer to the Uruguay striker was rejected. However, they did not just give up. Goal reported that management had just appointed Claude Makelele to negotiate.
They hope the emotional closeness that Makelele has with Les Parisien can have a positive impact on the transfer agreement. As is known, the former French national team player had defended PSG as a player and also served as assistant coach when the team was coached by Carlo Ancelotti. Not only that, the 46-year-old man is also very familiar with Cavani.
This season, Edinson Cavani has only played 13 matches. The acquisition of his goal also reached the third digit. Of course this is a bad record for players who have always been on the Ligue 1 top scorer list in the last five seasons.
Meanwhile, Chelsea
has began to lose consistency in the second half of the 2019-2020 season. The
young players that Frank Lampard relied on was unable to appear dominant in
every match. And their biggest problem this season is on the front lines which
are occupied by Tamy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.
