Chelsea Still Prohibited from Bringing Players

Chelsea

DBasia.news –  FIFA officially rejected Chelsea’s appeal which was subject to a ban on signing players for the next two transfer markets.

In February, the Blues received a transfer embargo and a fine of 450,000 pounds. This sentence was dropped because Chelsea proved to have committed a foul when bringing in several young players.

“The FIFA Appeal Committee officially rejected Chelsea’s appeal for the punishment given by the FIFA disciplinary commission. They still cannot register new players in the next two registration periods,” wrote an official FIFA statement.

“This ban applies to all parts of the club. Except for the women’s team and the futsal team. Besides that, they can still release players.”

This decision has immediately received a response from the management of the Blues. They claimed to be very disappointed because the transfer embargo sentence was still in force and was ready to take the matter to the Sports Court (CAS).

“We have accepted FIFA’s decision to reject our appeal. We were very disappointed because they could not cancel the transfer embargo penalty. We are ready to take this case to CAS.”
