DBasia.news – Chelsea are still on good terms with Manchester City regarding player transfers. After Raheem Sterling, now the Blues are still targeting other Man City players.
As is known, Chelsea managed to obtain Sterling (27 yearsold) with 45 million pounds plus a bonus of 10 million pounds. Sterling is on a 5-year contract (until 2027) and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has also been in direct contact with him.
“Raheem Sterling is heading to Chelsea, here we go! Final approval came from Man City. A fee of 45 million pounds plus an additional 10 million pounds. Personal terms were agreed a few days ago, it was never a problem. Done,” said transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
“A contract until 2027 plus an option to extend a year. Tuchel has been in direct contact with him,” added Romano.
The transfer operation is not over because Chelsea still want one other City player. He is the English defender Nathan Ake. Man City want no less than 41 million pounds for Ake.
“Chelsea and Man City will be in contact again in the next few days for negotiations regarding Nathan Ake, after Sterling,” added Romano.
“Man City have been clear with Chelsea, they want almost the same fee paid in August 2020, around 41 million pounds. Ake already has a full personal agreement with Chelsea,” he explained.
Nathan Ake (27 years old) is no stranger to Chelsea, he was a product of the club’s academy who was a first-team player in mid-2012-2017, before moving permanently to Bournemouth and then to Man City.
Ake can play as center back or left back. Given that Chelsea have lost Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, they do need a new defender.
