Chelsea won over Crystal Palace

DBasia.news – Chelsea won 4-0 over Crystal Palace in the London Derby in the Premier League match.

In the match that took place at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (3/10), Chelsea did appear dominant. Frank Lampard’s 4-2-3-1 formation made the visitors unable to do much.

Chelsea immediately took the initiative to attack from the start of the match. However, N’Golo Kante and his colleagues had difficulty dismantling Palace’s layered defense.

Chelsea’s first golden opportunity only came in the 19th minute through the action of Timo Werner in collaboration with Kai Havertz. However, the German striker’s measured shot was aimed right into the arms of Palace goalkeeper, Vicente Guaita.

Two minutes later, Chelsea had another golden opportunity through Jorginho who had the ball rebounded in the Palace penalty box. Unfortunately his kick flew slightly over Palace’s crossbar.

Tammy Abraham also wasted a chance as his header went wide. The 0-0 score lasted until the first half ended.

After halftime, Chelsea immediately stepped on the pedal. Ben Chilwell broke the deadlock in the 50th minute with a half volley kick from a wild ball in Palace’s penalty area.

This was Chilwell’s first goal with Chelsea. He did this in his first Premier League debut.

After winning, Chelsea became increasingly excited in attacking the Palace defense. Eight minutes later, they came close to taking the lead had Kurt Zouma’s header been more accurate.

Through a similar scheme, Zouma was finally able to double Chelsea’s lead in the 66th minute. Guaita was unable to block his header from Havertz’s pass.

Conceded two goals to make Palace’s defense lose concentration. As a result, a fatal mistake was made by Tyrick Mitchell and Mamadou Sakho by making a foul in the forbidden box which resulted in a penalty.

The two penalty prizes that Chelsea won in the 78th and 82nd minutes were able to be executed perfectly by Jorginho. Chelsea also closed the match with a four-goal win without reply.

The match against Palace is Chelsea’s first win in the last three matches in all competitions. An additional three points to temporarily boost their position to fourth in the standings.
