Chiellini Is Controversial for Not Choosing Allegri As the Best Coach

DBasia.news – The ceremony of The Best FIFA Football Awards 2018 happened in London, Tuesday (25/9). Real Madrid player, Luka Modric, achieved the best player title. Meanwhile, France national team coach Didier Deschamps also chosen as 2018 best coach.

The captain of Juventus and Italy national team Giorgio Chiellini becomes one of the highlights of the vote announcement of 2018 FIFA Best Coach. According to Football Italia, Chiellini didn’t include the name of his Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri.

The winner of 2018 FIFA Football Awards was decided by the voting by the national team captain, coach, and media representative. But, Chiellini who represented Italy national team assumed not including Allegri’s name as his three choices.

The Juventus coach got two titles last season, Scudetto and Copa Italia. But, Chiellini chose Deschamps, Zinedine Zidane, and Gareth Southgate.

Meanwhile, the vote of Italy national team coach, Roberto Mancini belonged to Deschamps, Zlatko Dalic, and himself. While the media representative of Italy, Fabio Licari, chose Deschamps, Zidane, and Allegri.

Meanwhile, for the best player, Chiellini chose his new partner in Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo. Mancini chose the same.

Didier Deschamps has a great achievement in 2018. The 49-year-old coach brought France national team winning the 2018 World Cup. Meanwhile, the runner-up coach, Zidane, also gained the achievement in securing the Champions League title with Real Madrid.
