DBasia.news – Christian Pulisic is pleased with Giovanni Reyna’s potential and admits that “the sky is the limit” for his compatriot.

Pulisic himself is seen as one of Chelsea’s important players after previously pursuing a career with Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund, the club that Reyna strengthens.

With Reyna helping to polish his talents at Dortmund from an early age, Pulisic believes he can live up to expectations, both for club and country.

To CBS Sports, Reyna said: “He has to continue to prove himself. Dortmund started the season well and so did he. We want to see his progress, and we are all happy to have him in the national team.

“For Gio, really, I think the sky is the limit. He has a bright future. But like I said, he still has a lot to prove to get to that stage.

“Of course, we see his potential for now and he has a lot of talent. So that we are really excited. “

Pulisic left for Dortmund in February 2015 and made his first-team debut a year later.

The American international went on to become a mainstay of Dortmund, making 43 appearances in his first two full seasons with the club.

However, after Jadon Sancho’s appearance in the 2018 season, Pulisic found his amount of playing time educed until he was finally redeemed by Chelsea for 58 million pounds in January 2019, while he spent the rest of the season with Dortmund.

Pulisic knows how difficult it is to leave your home country and pursue dreams in a foreign land. He himself has shown rapid development by mixing talent and character.

Reyna is also seen as having these two qualities, with the young player being able to get rid of all obstacles to get into Lucien Favre’s Dortmund first team.

Learning from experience, Pulisic can now be in a position to provide advice. “The first year was very challenging, but it’s important to keep a target in mind.

“After that, keep trying. That’s what I do, even on hard days. That’s what will keep you going, setting targets for yourself. “
