DBasia.news – La Liga Spain is considering to resume the competition. Spanish soccer authorities will provide penalties if there are clubs who refuse to play.
Tebas even threatened would reduce the points of the club who refuses to continue the competition. Tebas stressed that he did not want the club to refuse on the grounds that they were not sure of the players’ safety in the midst of the corona virus outbreak.
“If there is a club that does not want to compete, it will be deemed not to appear. The first sanction, a reduction of three points, may be more based on regulations,” he said as reported by Football Espana.
As a guarantee that all clubs are willing to continue the competition, Tebas will issue documents that guarantee there is no risk of contracting the corona virus. All that so that the players focus on training and competing without being haunted by anxiety.
However, the letter can only be issued after receiving the green light from the medical team of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the club.
It is planned that the LaLiga clubs will start training on May 4th to prepare themselves to continue the competition. Regarding when LaLiga started, there were three choices prepared, May 28-29, June 6-7, or June 28.
To anticipate risks, LaLiga also takes the initiative to hold tests to players and coaches every day. In addition, Javier Tebas also suggested that the players be quarantined in hotels or inns in the training center.
However, the idea of Tebas conducting daily tests on players and coaches was opposed by the President of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales.
“For me, it’s not right for LaLiga to use test kits for the team while at the same time, there are people who are more in need. This is a sign of a lack of solidarity and anti-patriot,” said Rubiales.
