DBasia.news – Massimiliano Allegri is considered suitable to train Manchester United as a substitute for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Marcello Lippi and Fabio Capello, the two legendary Italian coaches, are both supporting Allegri to become the coach of the Red Devils.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s situation as Man United’s manager is in danger of dissmisal, following the inconsistency of the performance of the Red Devils – nickname of Man United – this season. Latest, Man United lost 0-1 to Bournemouth.
The defeat has put United in 10th place in 11 Premier League games. Man United won only 13 points. As a result, Solskjaer’s position was threatened with dismissal and several names emerged as his successor candidates.
Among these names are also Massimiliano Allegri, a former Juventus coach who left Turin at the end of the 2018-19 season and was replaced by Maurizio Sarri. Allegri has also been linked with Bayern Munich, but Capello thinks it’s good for him to coach United.
“He (Allegri) will be suitable for Bayern Munich, although I don’t know how the greeting for the Italian coach in Germany after (Carlo) Ancelotti,” Capello told Radio Anch’io Sport.
“England is interesting, there is a possibility that he will work well there and Premier League competitions that can add to his knowledge. If I were Allegri, I would go to Manchester.”
Lippi, the Chinese national team coach, also agreed if Allegri coached Manchester United. According to the 71-year-old coach, Allegri was ready to train in England.
“Allegri will be good for any club and I am a true admirer of the English club, I would be thrilled if he trains there. Manchester United is the historic club of English football,” Lippe told Dailymail.
“The club is going through bad years, but the club is still fantastic, from the board of directors to the players, everyone can say what it means to play at Old Trafford.”
“First, I think Solskjaer was once a very great striker and a good coach. For Allegri, I see him as a true professional who has a Juventus style in his blood.”
Lippi knew enough about Man United’s culture because of his friendship with United’s legendary former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. No doubt Lippi believes Allegri is the right person to lead Man United.
“My close friendship with (Sir Alex) Ferguson can make me say that he (Allegri) will be the best choice for United,” added Lippi.
“Allegri has learned English and is perfect for the style of English football. He is ready and smart. He reads the game very well.”
“He likes
challenges and I really appreciate him, I think he is serious and ready, I
think he is a humble person. An Italian man who can do very well in England. I
can tell you that he is ready to (coach) United, “he explained.
