Coman and Goretzka asks for a Salary increase to Bayern Munich’s boss

DBasia.news – Kingsley Coman and Leon Goretzka demanded a contract renewal from Bayern Munich, including a new salary. Reflecting on the case of David Alaba, what are Bayern Munich’s steps?

Leon Goretzka’s current contract is in urgent condition to be renewed by Bayern Munich as there is only one year remaining. The 26 year old midfielder has joined since 2018 and has become the main choice in the team.

Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman has a contract that runs until June 2023. But Die Roten certainly want to immediately secure a new contract for Coman, in order to avoid the complications of negotiations in the last year.

Bayern Munich CEO, Oliver Kahn said conversations were already underway with the two players. He revealed that Coman and Goretzka both wanted a raise.

Bayern Munich is ready to negotiate it, but insists it will not violate the boundaries set by its own management. Reflecting on the case of David Alaba being released, Bayern are firm in their principles.

“We’re talking to Leon Goretzka and (Kingsley) Coman. Really top players want to be paid what they deserve, we’re not naive about that. That’s fine. But with us, there are very clear boundaries that are drawn,” said Oliver Kahn as quoted by Sportsmole.

“About David Alaba, you see that at a certain point, we don’t want to go any further. We don’t push into the salary area where FC Bayern doesn’t fit.”

“We are in great communication with both players. I am optimistic. We have a good package to offer. They always have the chance to win big titles with us and can help shape an era.”
