Considered as Protocol Violation, Jadon Sancho Sanctioned

DBasia.news – Bad luck has just befell the Borussia Dortmund striker, Jadon Sancho. He was sentenced to a fine just for not wearing a mask while cutting his hair.

Earlier this week, six Dortmund players called a hairdresser to their homes to make over their appearance. The six players in question are Sancho, Manuel Akanji, Thorgan Hazard, Axel Witsel, Dan-Axel Zagadou, and Raphael Guerreiro.

Sancho and Akanji then documented the activity and uploaded it to their respective private social media accounts. The upload made them finally gotten sanctioned.

Bundesliga (DFL) authorities considered Sancho and Akanji violated one of the established health protocols. They did not wear mask and as seen clearly from their uploaded photos that had now been deleted.

As is known, the Bundesliga is implementing strict protocols in order to be able to continue the 2019-2020 season. One of them is requiring all players to wear masks when off the field.

“The DFL fined Manuel Akanji and Jadon Sancho. The two Borussia Dortmund players have violated protocols about cleanliness and protection against viruses,” said the DFL statement.

“Football players do have to cut their hair. However, all must be done in accordance with applicable health protocols.”

Interestingly, four other players are free from punishment. Though their photos without using a mask are also circulating on social media.

The DFL does not specify the amount of the fine to be paid by Sancho and Akanji. Both were given five days to appeal.
