DBasia.news – The Premiere League club, Fullham prepares psychologists for foreign players and young players. This is to get through a difficult time because of the Lockdown decision in the UK and several other countries. The club’s policy was conveyed directly by the manager, Scott Parker.
Football in England has been suspended since March 13th because of a COVID-19 pandemic and players have been instructed to stay at home as part of efforts to curb the spread of the new corona virus.
“This is very, very difficult. We certainly have a psychologist working with us. He is in contact with them,” Parker said as quoted by Reuters.
“Even though the whole situation is scary for players, the ones who seem to have the most difficulty are the young, foreign players,” Parker continued
“We have to train them mentally, and maintain their mental state comfortable. We talk, using Zoom, there is regular communication with the players but it is undeniable that this is a difficult time.”
Parker said the club was well prepared for the lockdown, ordered bicycles and treadmills for players as soon as they saw the situation worsen in Italy and Spain.
“We know that if players are not allowed to come out, or some players are uncomfortable going out, they must have facilities to exercise in their rooms,” concluded Parker.
