DBasia.news –  French sports minister, Roxana Maracineanu, issued two new policies related to the continuation of the Ligue 1 match following the corona virus outbreak that has spread in several countries.

Quoted from GFNN, Monday (09/03) the Ligue 1 matches until April 15 will be played in private or each match will be limited to 1,000 spectators.

“It must be respected that a maximum of 1000 people can be in the stadium. Either the club will make the decision to sell 1000 tickets or they would rather play without spectators. Or postpone the match if possible, “Maracineanu stated.

Why only until April 15? Maracineanu explained that this was after coordinations with a number of other EU countries to fight the corona virus.

“This aims to protect citizens from the spread of the corona virus. The world of sports must take part in this collective effort, “Maracineanu added.

Maracineanu also explained that for friendly matches between France and Ukraine as well as France vs. Finland, the ministry of sports has also applied the same rules.

Previously, the Paris police also decided to hold the second leg match of the top 16 of the Champions League between PSG vs Dortmund to take place without spectators.

“We fully follow the decision of the authorities who arranged for the match to be held in the best possible conditions,” wrote a PSG statement.
