Cuadrado plays well in the right wing-back position
By db-admin
DBasia.news – When meeting with Bayer Leverkusen, Colombian Juan Cuadrado had an unusual role. He was plotted as a right-wing defender, which is not his original position.
Nevertheless, Cuadrado was still able to look slick and helped Juventus win 3-0. After the match, he praised the role of Andrea Barzagli who now sits on the coaching staff chair with Maurizio Sarri.
Cuadrado considers, Barzagli to be the most responsible figure at the same time convincing him to play as a right back. He also gave special appreciation to the former Juventus center back.
“I’m certainly very pleased to welcome the results of this match. Before the match, I came to the coach and said I would change my mental play. Barzagli always directs me, so I feel calm and more confident,” he said as quoted by Football Italia.
Juventus’ three goals in the match were each nested by Gonzalo Higuain (17″), Federico Bernardeschi (61″), and Cristiano Ronaldo (88″). This victory brought Juventus to the top of Group D of the Champions League.
“The match was very good for us. We know it’s very important to play with true hunger mentally. Hopefully, we can continue to satisfy the coach until the end of the season and achieve the expected achievements,” he said again.
