DBasia.news – Dani Olmo, Dinamo Zagreb’s wing forward, who starred in the U-21 European Cup with the Spanish U-21 national team, is reportedly a transfer target by the Italian giant, AC Milan.
Olmo, 21 years old, brought the U-21 Spanish national team to win the European U-21 cup. His name rose afterwards, moreover he was a La Masia academy product that shined in Zagreb. Several European clubs were monitoring him and Olmo has expressed his desire to leave Croatia.
“Right now I don’t know, Dani has a contract with Dinamo. The club knows our desire to leave, we believe this is the time. Not only for Dani’s sake, but also for (Dinamo’s) interests: they can get money from the sale,” stated Olmo’s father to Calciomercato.
“Dani must have the chance to go to a world class league. There are many clubs that are interested, however, with all due respect, I cannot mention it or make a list,” he added.
Admitted by his father, Milan is one of the clubs interested in recruiting Olmo. Apart from Milan, there is one other Italian club that also wants to purchase him.
“We have held two meetings in Italy, one with Milan and one with other big clubs. To reach an agreement, we must find an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb,” added Olmo’s father.
Milan has watched the player with 10 caps and three goals for the U-21 national team. They have long watched Olmo since the club still had Leonardo as Director of Sports.
“It’s true, we met Milan when Leonardo was still there. I don’t know whether his departure or the change of the Director of Sports, or failure to reach an agreement with Dinamo has reduced interest,” concluded the father.
Dani Olmo’s chance to head to AC Milan: 50%
Milan are quite active in the transfer market this summer and Olmo has unanimously made a decision to leave Dinamo. If Milan approves of the official tag from Zagreb then the transfer is likely to occur.
