DBasia.news – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keeps on showing his magical touch in changing Manchester United’s performance. His former teammate in The Red Devils, Darren Fletcher, appreciated his work.
As we know, Solskjaer was appointed as Man United manager replacing Jose Mourinho. With Solskjaer, The Red Devils performed brilliantly.
Statistically, Man United won six matches perfectly. Recently, he stole three points from his visit to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium.
Yes, Man United won 1-0 against Spurs by the only goal from Marcus Rashford at the end of the first half. Fletcher admits he is impressed with Solskjaer’s tactic in Man United.
“The first half is a tactical masterclass. The plan early on in the game was to run into the channels and turn spurs around. Every opportunity they got the ball they looked to exploit the space,” Fletcher said cited by Daily Mail, Monday (14/1).
“They were taking the game to Spurs early in the first half. They did it because Spurs’ full-backs like to play high and wide. So their plan was for Martial and Rashford to stay wide and run in the channels either side of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen,” he continued.
“They did it all day. No defender wants to be left two v two against Martial, Rashford and Lingard because they have got pace, they have got the ability and they are dangerous,” the Scottish said.
