David Moyes is disappointed that the referee ignored his opinion

DBasia.news – David Moyes protested about West Ham United’s defeat to Manchester United. The West Ham manager considered the equalizing goal to be invalid.

The West Ham vs MU match was held at the London Olympic Stadium, Sunday (6/12/2020) am. This is West Ham’s momentum to climb the standings due to their opponent’s poor record.

MU has only won three of the last 11 meetings with West Ham in the Premier League. West Ham are likely to win easily as they were dominant in the first half.

The West London troops took the lead in the 38th minute through Tomas Soucek. In the second half, West Ham also almost scored their second goal.

However, the inclusion of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford overwhelmed West Ham. The Hammers finally lost with a score of 1-3 after Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood, and Marcus Rashford took turns breaking into Lukas Fabianski’s net.

This defeat then left Moyes frustrated, who immediately approached the referee at the end of the match. Moyes protested the court’s decision to legalize MU’s first goal.

Because, when Dean Henderson threw the ball from the MU defense area and reached Fernandes on the right side, the ball had already left the field.

However, Moyes’ protests at that time was ignored and the VAR referee did not even review the goal.

“I think we played well tonight. The only reason we could lose was a bad referee decision. The ball passed my head on the sidelines, no one can see the ball better than me,” said David Moyes on the BBC Sport.

“The line judge said he didn’t see it. Bad decision. The ball came out first, just look at the reaction of the players and our players knew the ball has left the field,” he continued.

“It hit us hard. It really affected the team’s performance.”
