DBasia.news –  Real Madrid were beaten by city rivals Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup match at MetLife Stadium on Saturday (27/7). Zinedine Zidane, coach of Madrid, saw El Real playing poorly since the start of the game.

Real Madrid become Atletico Madrid’s target. Los Rojiblancos had won six goals without reply. Diego Costa became a star by packing four goals. Meanwhile, Joao Felix, Angel Correa and Vitolo each scored one goal.

Madrid was only able to reply to three goals through the actions of Nacho, Karim Benzema and Javier Hernandez Carrera. Zidane considers Madrid to start the game weakly.

“What happened was that we entered the match very hastily. The competition was fierce, but we started it badly,” Zidane said as reported by Goal.

“After falling 2-0, we did not respond to change something. The first half was difficult.”

“We never played in matches. We don’t have everything. Especially, intensity,” continued the coach.

However, Zinedine Zidane did not want to bother with the defeat. According to him, Atletico Madrid is better at preparing the team.

“We are preparing for next season and remain calm. We have to reach the summit on August 17, in the first match of LaLiga. For now, we don’t have much certainty,” Zidane said.

Next, Real Madrid will face Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-finals of the Audi Cup, at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday (30/7). After that, Luka Modric and his friends will challenge Red Bull Salzburg.
