Delle Alli Disappointed for being Pulled Out during the Game against RB Leipzig

DBasia.news –  Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder, Delle Alli, showed his disappointment at Jose Mourinho’s decision during the match against RB Leipzig in the Champions League top 16 round, Thursday (2/20) AM. Delle Alli was replaced six minutes after the visitors scored first.

Alli was replaced by Erik Lamela. Alli was not only pulled out by Mourinho but also Tanguy Ndombele with Gedson Fernandes.

Before the England international player threw a drink bottle, he was seen to be showing an annoyed expression with his left hand rubbing his forehead.

Alli then slammed a drinking water bottle from the bench before slamming hard on his shoes which made it bounce. Speculation arose, Alli was furious as he had to be pulled out by Jose Mourinho.

However, Mourinho has denied that Alli was upset because he was pulled out. Mou suspected that Alli was annoyed at himself for not playing well in the match.

“I think he is angry with his performance, not with me,” Mourinho said as quoted by Metro. “I think he knows why I replaced him and our performance has improved.” he added.

Observing the statistics of the match, Mourinho’s statement actuallyhas a point. Before Alli was replaced by Lamela, he only recorded 16 passes and 28 times touched the ball without even once kicking the ball towards the RB Leipzig’s goal.
