DBasia.news – Derby County owner, Mel Morris, is determined to keep the manager, Frank Lampard, who is wanted by Chelsea.
Lampard is the favorite to beat Chelsea, who at the last weekend confirmed Maurizio Sarri’s departure for Juventus.
Although Lampard failed to bring Derby to promote to the English Premier League after losing in the play-off final against Aston Villa, Moris was not interested in releasing his manager.
“There is no change in the situation for now, except for the fact that Chelsea no longer has a manager.”
“We have confirmed to everyone, but most importantly to Frank, that we want him and are determined to maintain his services for a long time,” Morris said.
“If Chelsea wants to bring Frank, then they have to make an offer to make it happen. Meanwhile, we will continue to put our best foot forward to continue our plans for next season, to work with Frank so he knows how much he is wanted by everyone associated with this club, “he added.
