Despite Being Hit by Big Issues, Barcelona Reportedly Want to Bring Moussa Dembele

DBasia.news – Barcelona are reportedly trying to sign Olympique Lyon striker Moussa Dembele. The transfer has even received approval from Ronald Koeman.

Currently, the most prevalent issue in Barcelona is the future of Lionel Messi. Reportedly, Messi has submitted a letter of resignation. Messi wants to activate a clause that allows him to determine his future, including by terminating the contract.

This news made the developing issue even wilder. Reportedly, Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain are the leading clubs in the hunt for Messi.

However, in the midst of the issue of Messi’s future which is currently heating up, Barcelona are reportedly looking for a way to sign Moussa Dembele. The news was conveyed by an Italian transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio.

According to Di Marzio, Moussa Dembele is not a player brought in to fill Lionel Messi’s position. The 24-year-old striker is projected to replace Luis Suarez.

Reportedly, Ronald Koeman has assigned his assistant, Henrik Larsson, to contact Dembele. Koeman is open to the chance to join the former Celtic spearhead.

Moussa Dembele is a graduate of the Paris Saint-Germain academy. Before defending Lyon, Moussa Dembele had strengthened Fulham.

In the 2019-2020 season, Moussa Dembele appeared sharp with 24 goals plus seven assists in 46 matches. His two goals against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals made Lyon close the match with a 3-1 win.

Currently, Moussa Dembele is still under contract until June 2023. Transfermarkt predicts Moussa Dembele’s price will not be less than 40 million euros.
