DBasia.news – Real Madrid won 3-2 against Inter Milan in the Champions League group B stage, Wednesday (4/11) am. Despite winning, Zidane considered that his squad had experienced difficulties in facing Antonio Conte’s squad.
El Real managed to score goals through Karim Benzema, Sergio Ramos and Rodrygo Goes. Meanwhile Inter Milan managed to score goals through Lautaro Martinez and Ivan Perisic.
”We started the match well by applying tight pressing and high intensity. Then we were two goals ahead. However, we conceded so quickly. Also, in the second half, the game was more balanced and we had a hard time developing our game. In this competition, there are no easy matches, ” Zidane said as reported by the club’s official website, Wednesday (4/10).
Even so, Zidane’s move to enter Vicinius Junior and Rodrygo in the 64th minute proved to be the right. The two players became the architects of Los Blancos’ winning goal in this match. With a quick counter-attack, Vicinius Junior sent feedback into Inter’s penalty box from the right side of the defense.
Rodrygo, who was not guarded, freely received the ball and fired a hard right footed shot from inside the penalty box. Madrid also closed the match with a 3-2 win over their guests.
“The presence of Vicinius and Rodrygo is expected to bring freshness to the team’s play. However, on the whole, it was thanks to the efforts of all the players. This match will be a good fight. I am thrilled with everything the players showed in this match and we deserved this win, ” said Zidane.
This victory won the first three points for Los Blancos on the Champions League stage this season. Not only that, an additional three points in this match brought Madrid to the second place in Group B standings while winning on goal difference from Shakthar Donetsk. Los Blancos also has a much better chance of qualifying for the top 16, compared to last week, when they slumped at the bottom of the standings, having only picked one point from two matches.
