DBasia.news – Atletico Madrid will serve FC Barcelona in LaLiga match at Wanda Metropolitano after the international break ends. Atletico fans are worried ahead of that match.
Apparently, the captain and tough defender of Atletico, Diego Godin, was injured when Atletico won 3-2 against Athletic Club Bilbao. He was forced to play until the match ended by Diego Simeone due to no substitutes left.
Consequently, Godin is predicted needs more than 20 days to recover. The Uruguay player will miss the match against Barcelona in two upcoming weeks.
“I know what I have, I’ve had it before, it’s a tear and I’ll be out for at least 20 days or a month. I’ll try to do my best so that it doesn’t take any longer,” Godin told Sport-English.
“I tore it when I was running with Williams, I knew it was going to happen. But we didn’t have any substitutes left and they asked me to stay up front. There were a lot of minutes and at one moment I thought about leaving the pitch because I couldn’t run. I knew I could only help in this way.”
Godin’s injury added Simeone’s problem. Before Godin, other center-back players like Stefan Savic, Jose Maria Gimenez, and Lucas Hernandez also injured.
