DBasia.news – The Premier League club giants, Manchester United, are reportedly looking to bring in Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona as a loan player. This was done because the Red Devils squad failed to bring in Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
Discussions about bringing Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford are ongoing, but the two clubs are said to be far from agreeing on a transfer value.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Ousmane Dembele is one that Man United is considering as a backup option, but that focus will be increased if it is impossible to get Sancho.
Dortmund is currently priced at € 120 million (around Rp. 2.1 trillion) for Sancho. Seeing this price, Man United objected to this price, especially the world is still in the Covid-19 pandemic.
These financial constraints could increase the percentage of Dembele’s move to Man United. Because, Barcelona is in need of money to bring Memphis Depay.
Later, Dembele will come on loan for one season and Man United has the option to make his contract permanent.
Unfortunately, Man United’s decision to bring in Dembele has drawn some criticism. The reason is, Dembele is often absent due to injuries. The proof, Dembele has missed more than 100 days in the first season with Barcelona because of a hamstring injury.
Currently, Man United has recruited new players this season. The club, nicknamed the Red Devils, just got Donny van de Beek from Ajax Amsterdam.
Apart from Sancho, Man United are also trying to get Gareth Bale and Alex Telles who are currently in talks and there is little chance of success.
