DBasia.news – AS Monaco’s 1-2 defeat against Montpellier last weekend makes Thierry Henry club failed to continue their revival from the victory against Caen last week.
This is difficult for Thierry Henry even though he is the coach assistant of Roberto Martinez in Belgium national team during the 2018 World Cup. In fact, the man who started his career in Monaco was expected to revive Monaco’s performance.
“When he joined Monaco he knew the problems, but he knows the club very well, it will take time and I think he has it in himself to be a coach,” Youri Djorkaeff said.
“He loves coaching, he loves talking with his players. He’s having problems but I’m sure it’s going to get better, he won last weekend so he’ll be able to breathe a bit more, and step by step, he’ll climb back.”
Now, Monaco drop to the 19th position from 15 matches and just collected 10 points. In fact, two seasons ago, Monaco won the Ligue 1. But as the exit of key players, they were getting weaker. Now, Thierry Henry has to start over since the beginning.
