Do not disband TFC II!

DBasia.news – “No need to disband TFC II (Terengganu FC II), I disagree and refuse it as I know Terengganu is one of the clubs producing the best potential players, not just for the state team but also the national steam.

“If the Terengganu State Football Association (PBSNT) remains the stand, it will be a huge loss in football in the state,” said Terfanu FC (TFC), Irfan Bakti Abu Salim.

He said this to comment on the future of TFC II that has now been eliminated into the FAM League next season, after occupying the bottom of the Premier League and is now like an egg at the end of the horn, which is likely to be disband.

However, the official decision of the squad that is playing in the AFC Challenge Cup will be decided tomorrow, in a meeting of management of the association which will be chaired by Terengganu Menteri Besar and also PBSNT’s new president, Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

Commenting further, Irfan Bakti said that although PBSNT was disappointed with the team’s poor performance previously known as T-Team, the move to disband the team was not the right decision.

“I’m surprised to hear the news (TFC II will be disbanded), my hope is that there is still a discussion space and finding the best way to rescue the team from being buried as there is alot of talent in youngsters in the state, especially when football is quite popular there.

“However I suggest that the team should have a proper management and hand over to a footballer to run it, as for me many famous former football players are born from this state.

“So, I hope the state government or PBSNT rethinks the matter because its impact is big enough to produce many talented players who will help the state and national teams,” he said, adding that the team would have to be age-restricted.

Previously, former Terengganu Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman expressed the same view that the team should not disband.
