Douglas Costa goes home to Brazil
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Douglas Costa is the latest Juventus player to be allowed to return home in the midst of the COVIC-19 pandemic.
Juve reportedly gave permission to Costa to return to Brazil for family reasons.
Previously, Bianconerri had allowed Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain, Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira to leave Turin.
The defending champions of the Italian League have put a quarantine on their squad, after Daniele Rugani, Blaise Matuidi, and most recently, Paulo Dybala, was found positive for COVID-19.
Juventus’ move to allow their players to go home has come under fire from people in Italy.
“The quarantine lasts 14 days, as instructed by the Minister of Health on February 21, 2020. There was no mention of a discount, and that was only repeated in subsequent statements,” stated the Italian lawyer who studied COVID-19, Rinaldo Romanelli.
Romanelli said voluntary isolation was not a legal definition. It is just a form of mutual trust towards people living in the “red zone” and quarantine with active supervision of those who come in contact with positive confirmed COVID-19 parties.
