DBasia.news – Juventus completes one remaining slot in the 2021-2022 Coppa Italia semifinals. Entertaining Sassuolo at the Allianz Stadium, Friday (11/02) morning WIB, Il Bianconeri won 2-1 through goals from Paulo Dybala (3′) and Ruan Tressoldi’s own goal (88′).
Sassuolo could only reduce it from Hamed Traore’s goal in the 24th minute. Typical of Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus, the team won with 45% possession and 20 attempted kicks (10 on target), Sassuolo with 51% possession and fired 16 shots.
Juventus reached the semifinals along with Inter Milan, AC Milan and Fiorentina. Juventus will play Fiorentina in the first leg match which will be held on 2 March 2022 at the Allianz Stadium, it is a special match for Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian striker was transferred in January from Fiorentina for a total fee of €81.6 million. Vlahovic (22 years old) admits that he is ready to face Fiorentina, especially if they travel to Artemio Franchi.
“I only think about the game, to try to win and everything else is not very interesting for me. It will be a game like any other game, we are here to play football and this is not a problem for me,” Vlahovic told Mediaset.
The Effect of Two New Juventus Players
Vlahovic was not the only new player in action against Sassuolo, there was also midfielder recruited from Borussia Monchengladbach Denis Zakaria. Zakaria and Vlahovic according to Allegri adapted very well.
“We are happy with Vlahovic and Zakaria, who are great players and adapted quickly. Juve have been playing better lately, so these players bring characteristics that we didn’t have before,” Allegri told Sport Mediaset.
“We are happy to have Vlahovic, he needs to improve, is cleaner in the way he plays, attacks the space more but it is a normal process for every player.”
Allegri has even shifted his focus against Atalanta in week 25 of Serie A, Monday (14/02) at 02:45 WIB. It’s a game for the top four as both teams are two points adrift at the moment: Juventus (45 points) in fourth and Atalanta (43 points) in fifth.
“We are potentially 11 points adrift of Inter, so no, we have to focus on Atalanta. They are a physical team with a lot of quality, they will be excited about their Coppa Italia elimination, so we have to give it our all on Sunday and see what happens. Other teams are too far away,” stated Allegri.
