DBasia.news – Duvan Zapata seems to have been crossed out by Inter Milan from the list of transfer targets. The Nerazzurri object to Atalanta’s price.
Inter are looking for a new striker to replace Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker was recently sold to Chelsea for around 115 million euros.
Inter then moved quickly by bringing in Edin Dzeko from AS Roma. The 35-year-old striker even scored in his debut match against Dynamo Kiev.
Even so, Dzeko’s presence is considered not enough. Inter plans to bring in other players.
Zapata’s name then came to the fore. The Colombian player does have a body posture and style of play that is similar to Lukaku.
Like a tit for tat, Zapata is also interested in joining Inter. He then pushed his agent to make this transfer happen.
Inter and Atalanta have reportedly been in communication to discuss Zapata’s transfer. However, both parties failed to reach an agreement.
Atalanta Zapata priced at 30 million euros plus bonuses. This figure is considered Inter is still too high.
But Zapata’s opportunity to move to Inter has not been closed. Zapata’s agent is still in communication with representatives of both clubs to find the best solution.
Atalanta likely won’t lower the price of the Zapata. La Dea did not intend to sell it for fear of difficulty finding a replacement.
The seriousness of Inter was the last hope for Zapata. Only time will tell the end of this transfer saga.
