DBasia.news –  Chelsea’s first defeat this season happened when they visited Wembley Stadium, the home of Tottenham Hotspur, Sunday (25/11). That was the first failure in the Premier League and all competitions this year.

In the match ended with a 3-1 score, The Blues got left behind by Dele Alli’s quick goal at 8′. Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min added the goals at 16′ and 54′. Olivier Giroud scored the responding goal at 85′.

The defeat against Spurs was really disadvantaging for Chelsea. Besides the end of the unbeaten record, their position dropped to the fourth. Furthermore, the point difference with Arsenal at the fifth is just one point.

Realizing that his team must enhance the performance and add the squad depth, Eden Hazard insisted that Chelsea’s target for this season is just to finish as top four, far from the defending champion, Manchester City.

Manchester City

“We are thinking about finishing in the top four, not to be the champions. We know City are not much better than Chelsea but they are better at the moment,” Hazard said cited by Daily Mail.

“In what areas are City better? A lot of things: possession; when they have chances, they score; maybe defensively they are better. They have top players. Is it due to their consistency as well,” he added.

The player who was born in Le Louviere, Belgium, hopes The Blues would revive soon and back on the victory track consistently for every match considering in five recent matches, Roman Abramovich club just achieved the three points twice.

“Yes, of course. They are in good momentum since last year and we need to be back like this,” he concluded.
